"Here is my finished Kep - I love how it turned out! I hope that it won’t be cold enough to wear it until next winter though...... Great instructions and videos - thanks Marie!
"MKC has certainly encouraged me to try different techniques… I bought DAK and learned intarsia after attending the intarsia workshop! It was a ‘hoot’. A calf was born on our ranch and I love the markings on his face. I was inspired to knit an intarsia vest."

"I was very lucky to spend a day with Nic back in October '21. I think we both thought I was going to make a wrist warmer as I was a complete newbie to Machine Knitting.... When I explained that my ultimate goal was to knit a jumper and in particular a Stoodley Jumper, as I loved the modern design and Fair Isle pattern, Nic was very accommodating and agreed to embrace my enthusiasm and show me the specific techniques I would need to complete the task. We are delighted to introduce the MKC Diversity Bursary.
A core founding mission of the MKC is to create a warm and welcoming space for everybody that promotes the craft of machine knitting and motivates and inspires everybody to get the most from their machines. One of the ways that we can achieve this is by having a diverse membership base and opening up opportunities for all people to join, regardless of their background or circumstances.
We would like to ensure that 5% of members at any time are free to bursary applicants.
The application process is very simple and we will be accepting applications on a trust basis so there will be no need to offer evidence to support your application - we will take your word for it! Bursaries will be awarded on a first come - first served basis and once all places have been allocated the scheme will close until the next round of signups
